Unico Banking Group, which was founded in 1977, is a group of eight banks that have a cooperative background and origin. In 1997, the group was formally registered as a European Economic Interest Group (EEIG), and in 2003 its headquarters moved from Amsterdam to Brussels.

The Group's current full members are: Crédit Agricole S.A. (France), DZ BANK (Germany), ICCREA Holding (Italy), Pohjola Bank plc (Finland), Rabobank (The Netherlands) and  RZB Group (Austria). Banco Cooperativo Español (Spain) and Raiffeisen Schweiz (Switzerland) are associate members.
